Workshops open to everyone. To register stop by the Customer
Service Center or you can call us at 259-2622. We also
welcome suggestions for topics in the future.
Food as Medicine Tours

Small group tours are $29 per person
and must be pre-paid to reserve your spot. Sign up with
any cashier. No refunds or exchanges 2 weeks prior to
tour. Gift certificates are always in season.

introduction to new whole and medicinal foods, medicinal
properties of common foods and spices, Genetically
Modified Foods, organic vs. ‘natural’, healthy fats,

with some form of heart disease, join us and learn what
you can do to avoid America’s #1 killer.
Anti-inflammatory Diet Tour

Inflammation is a contributing factor to so many
conditions these days- heart disease, cancer,
osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s, autoimmune diseases like
rheumatoid arthritis, Crohns and psoriasis, and many
other immune disorders. Many of the diseases and
complaints associated with aging.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Tour
September 15th 5:30pm
to 7:00pm
If you have interested in a time tested system of
medicine, don’t miss this one. What foods are soothing
to your liver and how does your liver affect your
emotional health? Not getting enough exercise? Learn
about foods that help with stagnation. This class
especially fits those who are doing acupuncture and know
their ‘diagnosis’ like spleen chi deficiency.
GEM Book Club
Coordinated by Danielle Phillips-Dorsett, GEM Cashier
Once a month, Danielle will get folks together to
discuss contemporary food literature. The idea is to
foster a conversation about movements, health trends,
and political, social and economic concerns that
influence our food culture. Everyone is invited and book
inspired refreshments will be provided. Groups will be
held in the Market at 6:00pm on the
following dates. Books will also be available for
purchase.
